This is a beautiful and rare piece from the celebrated Silversmiths and Ironmongers Evans & Matthews of 80 Bull Street, Birmingham.
The truck has been painted in a wood effect and is riveted to protect the top with metal edgings and a large metal clasp on the front. although the clasp is now help on by one rivet not two. Inside the trunk is very clean and tidy and has been well preserved with the original label bearing the manufacturers mark.
The trunk is 61cm wide, 41cm high and 41cm deep
